The Washington County Public Library is partnering with BB2C: Building Bridges to Careers to collect Christmas toys for the Marietta Community Foundation's Annual Nonprofit Challenge, sponsored by Superior Toyota. The new, unwrapped toys will be given to the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program to help families ensure their children receive gifts with the help of a little Christmas magic.
Your donations through BB2C could also help the local nonprofit earn funding towards its mission of inspiring career choice to bridge the gap between education and employment in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
Toys can be dropped off at Washington County Public Library locations in Belpre, Beverly, Barlow, Marietta, or New Matamoras. The Lafayette Branch Library will not be accepting donations.
The need to assist families this Christmas is at an all-time high, not only because of the impact COVID-19 has had on our economy, community, and families, but also because the Secret Santa program that previously provided gifts to 600 kids in our community is not happening this year.
